Founder of the Creedence Clearwater Revival
CCR dominated the airwaves in the late 60’s and early 70’s with many hits, the Flower Power culture was deeply rooted in the American society, songs about war, freedom and the everyday life was being portrayed in the songs of CCR.
John Fogerty wrote many of the songs recorded by the Band. The band made up of John Fogerty, Stu Cook, Doug Clifford and Tom Fogerty was the Creedence Clearwater Revival.
The band still tours today without John who had gone on to a solo career earlier.
Eventually, the band created a rebellion against John as the leader, they fought over rights of songs, they eventually became enemies, including his brother Tom. They quit recording and went their own way, John started his own solo career writing and recording more songs, he refused to perform any CCR material in his concerts.
